Good morning girls. After a long long break, it feels like an eternity that I have created some creative and experimental outfits for you guys. I love fashion and I love creating looks with the current fashion trends and it is no less than obvious that color trend is my fav fav section to work upon. I have something for color trends I guess. Well, last time I unfolded the color of the season and an outfit idea. Today, it’s the Volume second of the series “How to wear the brightest trend of the year”. If you missed out the post, then click here and go through it. :D
It all started with my obsession with the color red, while I hope to give you a little outfit inspiration along the route. I have been a huge fan of the denim on denim trend because it can be pulled off easily by anyone. Yes, you just need to find yourself a denim shirt/jacket which matches the shade of your jeans or culottes (in this case).
So, for this look, I took up the same red t-shirt which I styled in my previous post. If you know me then you’d know that this time of the year – fall is my favorite because I can finally layer my clothes and so I am back at it. I layered the top with an embroidered denim shirt ( if you think it’s the same denim shirt I have been wearing since 97, then I must tell you I have like 8 denim shirts in my closet :D). I chose this cute sunflower and bug embroidered shirt because it was balancing the overall look, not too sporty, carrying a subtle and cute charm in it. This is my favorite thing about embroideries, no matter in which silhouette they are put in; they tend to bring their own charm to the table. I would suggest everyone should have at least one embroidered shirt in their closet because of its versatility. If you noticed, I did a little thing there with my shirt’s sleeves. I folded my shirt but didn’t roll my t-shirt over it. Some little details add a great amount of sass. After that, I ditched my regular jeans for the denim on denim look and went ahead with culottes. Ajio has got a great range of culottes at pocket-friendly prices. You can check it out if you want this one or something similar to this.
After this, I did a thing which most of you might find impractical, i.e., to wear red socks but I went a little extra. If you want you can completely leave this part. I happily completed the look with white sneakers and double Dutch braids. I find this hairstyle the best to match up the outfit, a little edgy yet very clean. This overall look is perfect for this weather and can be worn for casual day out parties, brunch, and college.
