06 January, 2018
Hope you all had a kickass start to 2018! I am sending you wonderful people a warm and huge hug from my side (catch it). A big thank you to you all who stopped by my tiny corner of the web, we’ve made it to a new year. Yay!
I am totally not a resolution kinda person. But I hope when I look back at 12 months from now, I find myself delivering great content consistently. They say “Consistency is the key” and it’s time to follow their path. But with this, I have sworn to myself that no matter what I am not going to do things that will drain my energy rather than freshen me up, will leave me with more anxiety than peace and will restrict myself from doing anything that will hinder my growth rather than cheering me up for all my success stories. What do you think? How are you going to change your life?
Well, before you guys run away because of all the gyaan I am putting out here, let’s quickly jump to the blog post. I wanted to share this look for a long time but I guess this post will perfectly make sense now because it’s all about the COLOR OF THE YEAR FOR 2018. Pantone released ULTRA VIOLET as the color of the year and that is why this post is landing on the top for this year. This is the color you are going to see everywhere on the streets, runways, fashion weeks and soon everyone will find their way to incorporate the color into their outfits but before everyone goes into a violet frenzy, I want you guys to do it (See, how much I love y’all).
According to Pantone Ultra Violet "communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future". It is bold, dramatic, vibrant and optimistic color (considering what everyone needs this year). Well, I was convinced enough even before they dropped this. I shot this look somewhere around November because I can see future heuheuuheu.
In this look, I particularly tried to bring out some boho vibes because let’s admit it when the winter chills hit the city, we all just get wrapped in tons of clothes calling it layering (although I totally love it) leaving behind all the styles and trend we used to flaunt during summers. Not letting the season pick up the style for me.
In this look, I am wearing a fuzzy cardigan of Violet color as a dress. The cardigan is baggy, comfy and 2 size larger. A belt works great for these kinds of silhouettes. It undeviatingly upgraded my look from boring to beautiful, partly because it gave my waist a shape and partly because of the embellishment details on it. Wore black tights with boots to save me from catching a cold lol. Accessorizing was the main part, so I wore statement silver earring and a nose clip on. I love this nose clip on to the level where I wish it to fix permanently on my nose and that was the reason why I thought about adding a little bohemian vibe to this outfit. Lastly, I topped off the look with a silver metal clutch. If you love to experiment with color, then this color and look are all you need. So, how are you going to wear the color of the year? Don’t forget to tag me in your pictures if you do.
