Hello girl bosses,
How is this week going so far? I am sure that Delhiites are getting their much-needed relief from the sweltering heat. Where the inception of monsoon brought a sense of positive vibes for me, the re-opening of my college is petrifying me. Before I get horror-stuck, I thought of making some vibrant and colorful memories. Now, what's the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of something flamboyant and radiant? It's RETRO baby! It has a been a long time that I tried out something high-spirited and evocative. When I was ruminating about the concept, my sister was watching "Queen" for the zillionth time. And that drove me to my perfect concept, which is BOLLYWOOD. This made me dive into the era of timeless classics and bring back the spark of silver screens. If you are a regular visitor here, you must know that I love to play with my looks. One time you will find me mixing patterns or prints and the next time I may be busy fusing trends. So, what is the catch here (*dramatic music playing*)? Since, the theme is Bollywood, which means I can effortlessly go a little extra and nobody is going to rate a negative, I chose my basic and classic white tee with a Bollywood twist. Hold on (if you are still reading and have not jumped to the pictures yet)! I am going to unravel the suspense soon. I have created two different Bollywood themed looks which you can wear to your college, or date or just a casual city stroll. Both the looks embrace the essence of Bollywood in their own unique way. Here we go!
Bollywood Retro Look
Bollywood is evolving, growing and setting new standards every day, be it fashion or scripts. So are we and our fashion choices. But our fashion choices are recycled over a period of time. The 70s fashion is making a comeback with full force and the 70s baby in me is screaming and gravitating towards the flared bottoms and retro shades. Whenever I reminisce about the 70s fashion the first person that crosses my mind is Zeenat Aman and her mesmerizing retro style in "Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko". She really left a huge mark on everyone's heart with this peppy number. And my heart skipped a beat when I saw her effortless styling. Today's Bollywood Retro Look is inspired by this look of Zeenat Aman and to make this happen, PP Shop helped me out. I got two tees from the Bollywood Collection of PP Shop and I styled them in two different ways. The first one is "I love Bollywood" tee and I paired it up with striped flared trousers. To make the look enlivened and give that high-spirited vibe I accessorized with a hot pink headband, silver clutch, and beige block heels. I finished off my look with Retro Black shades which took the whole look a notch up.

Street Style Look
The next look is for the ones who want to take it a little low key and cut out the masalaaaa. Street style and daily casuals are my forte, so for me, it can never go wrong. And nobody can stop me from styling my Bollywood themed tee in my very own personal street style. This time I chose to go with "Mein Paida Hi Hot Huyi Thi" tee from PP Shop. Yes, you read it right. Well, this is a quick birth fact about me and I am actually making it a point on my biography. If you deny it, then 10 years of bad luck to you, lol. Just kidding (about the bad luck, I am hella serious about being hot by birth)! For the street style way, I teamed up my tee with button-down A-line midi skirt and white sneakers with floral prints. As I always say, a good accessory can make you stand out from the rest of the crowd and I always follow this great advice. I finished off the look with Cat-eye pink tint retro shades and two side buns. This leveled up my style game and you can see how effortlessly I am flipping my hair and living my Bollywood moment.

For a die-hard Bollywood lover, these tees from PP Shop say a thousand words and the same happened to me. Both my looks encapsulate the soul of Bollywood, the first one gives life to the timeless classics of 70s fashion while the second one depicts the ever-evolving Bollywood fashion. The journey from the classics 70s to the edgy and bold present is certainly rewarding. Before you leave, I would love to quickly introduce PP Shop to all of you who made this entire Bollywood Jam possible for me.
PP Shop a.k.a Pajjama Party Shop is an online store loaded with some of the snazziest activewear and nightwear apparels for both men and women. You can choose from their amazing collection of sleep shirts, tank tops, Bollywood T-shirts, activewear, pajjamas, leggings and much more at very affordable prices. To shop from their collection of trendy apparels visit their website. One more thing that I would like to add here is the superb quality of the t-shirts. The tees are so soft that it almost feels like your teddy bear is cuddling you. To be very honest, they are literally very very soft and you have to touch it to know it.
So this was all about my Bollywood themed blog post. Tell me in the comments section below, which look you liked the most and would dare to flaunt. Also, guys, there is a good news. Soon I will be launching a Street Style Section on my blog and would love to feature other bloggers who are out there and just want a pat on their back. A little motivation and encouragement can take you a long way. If you are a newbie blogger who wants some exposure or someone who would love to help me grow this community of fashionistas around the world, then ping me up on my Instagram or Facebook. I would absolutely love to connect with you.
