How to protect your skin this festive season with Bio-Miracle

04 September, 2018

Hey all,

The festive season is right here and the preparations are in full swing. I am sure you have got the outfits, the footwear and the accessories that will make you dazzle in every festive occasion. But have you also decided on your skin routine for the upcoming glitzy nights? Well if you have not, then you have landed yourself in the right place. Today, I will be talking about how you can keep your skin fresh, rejuvenated and refreshed during and after the festive season. Needless to mention, this time of the year is very crucial for us ladies. We wait and prepare ourselves up for the festivities and we want to look our best, at least better than "The Plastics" (I am hoping you have watched Mean Girls). Ever wondered that wearing gorgeous outfits and clubbing them with the right accessories are not just good enough? Well, it is true. What good is a festival look, if your makeup is not on point? A little bit of shimmer and sparkle is all we need to add spice and drama to your Garba night, or Sondhi Pujo, or Diwali night. But what happens after the festival is over. All the loads of makeup that we put on to level up our glam quotient do leave a toll on our skin. And what comes next is no surprise. Acne, pimples, clogged pores with dust and impurities are just the start. Who knows where does this all end? So, it is of utmost importance that while we are having fun and enjoying the best days of the year, we do not neglect our skin and keep it healthy all along. And caring for skin is not that difficult if you have the right products by your side. So sit back, grab a cup of coffee and read through this skincare guide that I follow every time.

1. Remove Makeup before Bed

This is not rocket science and every other makeup artist follow the practice of removing the makeup before bed. If you go to your dermatologist with any skin irritation problems, the first thing she is gonna ask you is if you remove your makeup before bed. This is guaranteed. Almost every one of us is too lazy to get that ton of makeup off and we just drop ourselves on the bed as soon as we step inside our room. Yeah, I totally understand that after the calorie burning Garba night, you are left with little to no energy and the only thing you can do for yourself is to sleep like a baby. But as you sleep, your skin bears the effects of the makeup. Your pores get clogged with dust and impurities, your skin feels irritated and you wake up with a gigantic pimple the next day. Now to conceal that pimple, you apply more makeup and this vicious cycle of skin damage continues. So take a deep breath and keep your skin out of the harm's way. How? Well, you can use the Makeup Cleansing Towelettes by Bio-Miracle. These pre-moistened tissues are enriched with Coenzyme Q-10, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, and is suited for all skin types. Wipe out your makeup like a charm and let the skin revitalizing formula of the wipes help you repair the damaged skin overnight.

The best thing about these tissues is that they remove eye-shadow, eyeliner, lipstick, mascara and even waterproof makeup without leaving the skin dry or irritated. It leaves the skin clean, moisturized, smooth and nourished after every application. Additionally, it is dermatologically tested, ophthalmologically tested and allergy tested too. You can now remove the makeup without putting in extra efforts and depriving yourself of your beauty sleep.

2. Use Sculpting Face Masks to rejuvenate skin

Applying face masks is not something new rather it is an ancient practice that has been used by even our ancestors. And to be very honest, the DIY home remedies and natural skin care tips by granny are always effective. And if I am brutally honest, then I would say, no one has the time to prepare DIY face masks now. One easy way out is Bio-Miracle Charcoal Sculpting Mask. I would be true to the best of my abilities and I am strongly recommending you to try this product out. This has totally worked wonders for me and after one single application, I could feel that my skin is clean and dirt free. Charcoal is known for its abilities to draw out impurities from clogged pores, but never did I know that this product will leave me so much satisfied. My skin was left supple, nourished, oil-free and dirt-free. I have never been more satisfied with any other face masks.

The thing I liked the most about this mask is that it comes in disposable container and spatula and is for a single time use.  All you got to do is open the container, get the spatula out, pour water in the container and mix it with the spatula to make a paste. Now, apply a thick layer of the paste o your face (avoid contact with eyes) and let it dry for 20 minutes. After the mask is dried out, peel off the mask and wipe out the mask remains with a cotton ball soaked in lukewarm water. That's it. You can carry out your regular skincare regime afterwards. This product even saves you with the hassle of washing out your containers and spatula after applying the face mask.

3. Use Facial Sheet Masks before the big occasion

This one is for the busy bees. Yes, most of us are not able to take time off from our daily work routine or family commitments. That's why it does not matter if it is a big occasion or just a get-together, we would simply show up because that is the best we can do right. No more! Yes, ever heard of the miraculous Korean face masks? Korean skin care is a rage these days and I happen to use Bio-Miracle 20 Min. Miracle Collagen Masks every now and then. I have so far used Aloe Collagen Essence Mask, Brightening Collagen Essence Mask and Rose Collagen Essence Mask. Whether the occasion is big or small, you just need to put up these disposable face mask and keep it on your face for 20 minutes. In the meantime, you can carry on with your work, while the mask instantly gives a lifting effect and revitalizes your skin. Not only this, these masks also help to prevent and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (Rose Collagen Essence Mask/ Aloe Collagen Essence Mask). Additionally, these masks can minimize the appearance of dark spots and discolouration of the skin (Brightening Collagen Essence Mask).

Don't forget to pamper your skin and get the instant lifting effect before the next gala night by using these disposable, hassle-free and time-saving facial sheet masks.

4. Keep yourself hydrated

While the festive nights are total fun spots, the festive days are the most hectic days in the calendar. Usually, because we tend to prepare ourselves up for the sparkly and happening night shows during the daytime. I don't know how does this work with other festivals but for me, the Durga Puja days are very tiring. Usually, we pray and then play games the whole day until lunch and then gear up ourselves for the night shows. Sometimes we visit Durga Puja Pandals in other areas and embrace the proud feeling of being a Bong. In this hustle, I often forget to keep myself hydrated enough and by the time I show up at the night shows, I lose all the skin glow. Try to picture this somewhat like, a plant who is out in the sun for a whole day and you forget to water it. How much lifeless and dry it will look in the evening. Same is with our skin. No matter how flawless your makeup is, you will end up looking lifeless and tired. So for the love of Spongebob, keep yourselves hydrated enough to retain the dazzling glow on your face.

5. Smile

Last but not the least, smile. What good a pretty face is without a dazzling smile. I have seen girls who are always worried about how they look in the selfies, that they forget to enjoy the beauty in the present moment. I always say, dress for yourself and whatever you are confident in. Even if you feel you don't look your best, don't be sad about it. Every day is not perfect and there is no harm if your pictures did not come out exactly as you have portrayed. Only harm you can to do yourself is by being unhappy. Happiness is a choice and I firmly believe that a healthy body and a healthy mind can keep you gleeful. Since skin is the largest organ in your body, so a healthy skin can surely bring out the happiness from the inside too. Be happy and be beautiful :)

I hope you would take care of your skin from now on, especially during the entire festive season. I would strongly recommend you to bookmark this page so that you can quickly go through these steps for a healthy skin care regime whenever you need it. Or you can also subscribe to my blog and download a printable PDF checklist to your ultimate skincare guide. Either way, it's a win-win for you.

I am also working on a festival lookbook for you guys, so all the fashion divas out there, keep visiting this space to get some serious festive fashion inspiration. Keep smiling and enjoying through this festive season.

Until the next time,

Sayanti xx

I always wash my face before bed - it is a 1000% must. My husband hates it because he just wants me to curl up in bed with him without having to then go to the bathroom to wash my face, but it is NON-NEGOTIABLE!

I have actually never used a facial mask, and at 60, I don't know if it's too late to start. I am also guilty of NOT always removing my makeup at night. But I do use good skin care products and drink a lot of water.

I use face mask at least once a week and I have seen the positive change on my skin. It somehow brightens and softens. I plan to do fask mask regularly and hopefully have a clearer and more radiant skin in time.
