Fall, Florals and Fedora

23 August, 2017

Morning, morning lovelies. Looking at my #ootd today one could easily be mistaken that I am on some vacation to beach wearing a fedora hat. Well, I wish I was. But instead I am here sitting in college with a cup of coffee, scrolling through my instagram feed, virtually doing a lot of shopping and procrastinating (not really because I am writing this post, does this count? It should).

While it’s 31 degrees here in Noida, it’s pretty hard to dress up and it’s even more harder to carry my outfit properly the whole day without melting off (seriously). “Less is more” is what I live up to during these days and decided to give it a try for my blogs as well. I was adamant that I wanted to mix and match. Mixing basics (which I can never let go off) with something I usually don’t wear. Shorts, black shorts were the ideal deal for this look. So basic, so chic (and so less haha). It’s not always that you’ll see me in blouses, that too in bright colors. You will usually spot me in a jeans and tee admiring beautiful ladies in floral but this time around I decided to try it myself. Bell sleeves are really in and I clinched that I could do away with some. So, I went ahead and paired my shorts which I have worn almost every day for the past 2 years with a red floral bell sleeves top. Did I mention it was a crop top? Too trendy I tell you :P

I do own some pretty good pair of shoes in case you’re wondering because half of my feed is laden in white sneakers. I have always been a sneaker girl and pairing ’em with a delicate dress have always been my favourite. Melding a feminine silhouette with sneakers is on trend nowadays but I swear I have been doing it since my childhood and I think there’s no stopping.

Lastly, topped off the look with a fedora cap and rings to add a little bit of hippy vibes. To save myself from the worries of my makeup getting washed away in this heat, I stuck to minimal makeup. Just a simple touch up by Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse and Lakme 9 to 5 matte lipstick makes me summer ready. All favorites in one look. Could it get any better? I don’t think so.
