25 April, 2018
Hello gorgeous girls,
How are you all? And how is April treating you? Are you liking the summer sunshine? And what about the summer heat, is it already burning you? Okay, okay I know these are too many questions to answer. You must be thinking that I always ask you questions before starting my posts and you are probably thinking that it’s a bad idea. I mean who has the time to reply to my silly questions. But you are thinking it wrong. Well, I get tremendous amounts of DMs every day and I am up for a soul talk even at the wee hours. So, if you a have a question for me or you want to answer my questions or you just need a friend to talk to, then ping me up at my Instagram (I am super active there, just in case you want me to respond early) or leave your queries below in the comments section. As for those people, who want me to answer my above questions, here you go.
One of the other reasons for liking this month is VanityCask’s Shades of April Edition Subscription Box. This is the first time that I am reviewing VanityCask Subscription Box. Every time I try out a new brand, I make sure to dig into the brand and give a brief overview of their services. Why I do so? Because I want my readers to know the basic details of the brand before they even visit their website and try it.
Brand Overview
VanityCask is one of the beauty subscription boxes available in India and all the brands associated with VanityCask have products that suit the Indian skin type. Their beauty experts curate these beauty boxes every month keeping in mind the Indian skin type. So basically, you get to try new brands and new products every month. Below are the subscription services and their cost:

Unboxing
So, I was quite happy to receive this month’s subscription box namely “Shades of April Edition”. The box had total five products in it and I am thrilled to give these new brands and products a try. Before talking about the products, let’s talk about the packaging. I was quite impressed by the look of it. It comes in a square shaped luxury box with magnetic lid. Inside it you get a brochure, describing what all products are included in the beauty box for that respective month. All the products are placed inside a pink satin pouch, which makes it look even more elegant. Now I am going to tell you about the products that I received inside the box one by one.
Sova Chamomile and Coorgi Narangi Body Wash
This is the first time I have tried Sova and their body wash. Well, I am a girl who can stay hours in the shower and I always love to try different variants of body washes. Upon researching about this brand, I got to know that this brand came into existence with the vision and mission to provide safe and effective skin and hair care by combining the best of beauty, integrity and heritage. Let us see how effective the product was on my skin:
The Nature’s Co. Cool Cucumber Face Wash
I have used few products from The Nature’s Co. and I was quite happy to receive their product in this month’s subscription box. Though the idea is to get acquainted with new brands every month, I still have my few favourites and I love to try new products from the same brand. Let’s see what this Cool Cucumber Face Wash has in store for us:
McAffeine Uplift Trance Caffeine Face Cream
McAffeine is one of my favourite skincare brands and I have used many products from this brand. And to be honest, I never got disappointed. In this edition, I got McAffeine Uplift Trance Caffeine Face Cream. Let’s see quickly what it is and how it works:
2 Mond’Sub Facial Sheet Masks
Mond’Sub is again one of the brands that I love. In the Shades of April Edition, I received two facial sheet masks and yes, I love them. The best thing about Mond’Sub masks is that you get salon facial services at your doorstep without making your skin go through lots of trouble of cleaning, scrubbing and massaging and what not. I am a very impatient person and I can sit for long hours just for getting a facial. So, these facial masks are the best alternatives for me.
The two facial masks are:
MOND’SUB Deep Brightening & Whitening Beauty Facial Mask
MOND’SUB Pearl Revitalizing & Brightening 3D Hanging Ears Neck & Facial Mask
MyGlamm Two of Your Kind – Long Lasting Enamel Duo
The final product that I got is two shades of MyGlamm Two of Your Kind Long Lasting Enamel Duo. Let’s see what this nail enamel duo has in store for us:
Summary
1. Will I recommend VanityCask to others?
Yes, absolutely. I will recommend VanityCask to others because it has some brands that I am familiar with already.
2. Value for money?
I felt like that VanityCask is a bit expensive than other subscription boxes. For 999 INR, I did not expect sample sized products. The quantity could have been more, I think.
3. Will I subscribe to VanityCask subscription boxes in future?
Depends on the products included in the box.
4. Which product did I like the most in the subscription box?
I loved the Facial Sheet Masks from Mond’Sub the most. The masks are amazing, and they help in saving a lot of time which I invest in self-pampering.
5. Any cons of using products from the VanityCask subscription box?
I did not observe any side-effects though, but the McAffeine Uplift Trance Caffeine Face Cream is for normal-to-dry skin and mine is oily skin type. This is the only thing that I did not like about VanityCask Shades of April Edition.
Additionally, I always recommend going through a patch test before using any product. Products that work on my skin may not work on your skin in the same manner.
